Spending time on two wheels has given me some of my best memories in life, either on my mountain bike on a trail or along the coast road down to a seaside cafe on my motorbike. I’m sure it’s the same for you too.

Based near Chichester and the famous Goodwood motor racing circuit, Moto Velo has two and four wheeled heritage all around West Sussex.
Goodwood aerodrome is home to many vintage aircraft including a wonderful single seater and rare 2-seater spitfire that offers local trips.
And If you haven’t yet been to Goodwood Revival in mid September, then you really should go!

Yamaha XS650
Tough as old boots, this classic twin Yam started out as a US custom model complete with king and queen seat! But I soon got to work with the grinder and made it into something a bit more my style.
A change from cast wheels to spoked (of course) transformed the look entirely.
Santa Cruz Superlight
This lightweight full suspension mountain bike was designed to take all of the bumps out of my local South Downs trails I used to take, whilst still providing an engaging lightweight ride and loads of fun.
I always thought the anodised blue was the best frame colour. Sadly she’s gone now…
Yamaha XT500 thumper
This became my first proper bike build from boxes of bits.A great bike and after having the engine rebuilt by expert Dave Newitt, it was easy to start and very reliable.
You need good teeth to ride these old thumpers but I wish I’d known how much their price’s would rise before I sold it !
